INKTOBER nasce nel 2009 come una challenge, creata da Jake Parker, per migliorare la sua capacità di inchiostrazione e sviluppare l’attitudine a disegnare in “positivo”.

Da allora questo progetto è diventata una vera e propria sfida a livello mondiale con migliaia di artisti che, ogni anno, si cimentano nel compito di realizzare una illustrazione al giorno per tutto il mese di ottobre.

INKTOBER was born in 2009 as a challenge, created by Jake Parker, to improve his inking skills and develop the attitude to draw in “positive”.

Since then, this project has become a real worldwide challenge with thousands of artists who, every year, try their hand at creating one illustration a day throughout the month of October.

Federico Mele, noto artista salentino nato nel 1991, ha deciso di cimentarsi per la terza volta con il progetto Inktober – che, nel suo caso, diventa DARKTOBER. Nel corso del mese di ottobre realizzerà 31 “villains” fra i più famosi del mondo dei comics e non solo, andando a coprire anche altre realtà come il cinema di animazione e quello di fantascienza.

Federico Mele, a well-known artist from Salento born in 1991, has decided to try his hand at the Inktober project for the third time – which, in his case, becomes DARKTOBER. During the month of October he will make 31 “villains” among the most famous in the world of comics and beyond, also covering other realities such as animation and science fiction cinema.

On this page you will find the list of the characters chosen who, at the moment, still include several subjects “in evaluation“: if you are interested in purchasing one or more of them – or if you want to propose subjects that you would like to have instead of those still “under evaluation” – contact us at info@cart-gallery.com and we will be more than happy to talk to Federico and add the new name to the list.

La proposta di Federico, realizzata insieme alla CArt Gallery, prevede 2 versioni dello Sketchbook che verrà messo in vendita.

Le copie totali saranno soltanto 100 e verranno numerate: 31 “de luxe” (che prevedono una copertina inedita, una delle 31 illustrazioni originali presenti all’interno del volume ed uno sketch realizzato su un apposito cartoncino creato per l’evento) e 69 “standard” con blank cover che verrà sketchata dall’artista.

Il prezzo della versione “de luxe” è di 150 euro e quello della versione “standard” 30 euro. A questa cifra andranno aggiunte le spese di spedizione se il materiale non sarà ritirato direttamente presso la nostra Galleria a Roma.

E’ possibile prenotare sin da ora una copia degli sketchbook. Per la versione standard basterà cliccare sul pulsante che trovate di seguito, mentre per quella de luxe è necessario contattarci via mail all’indirizzo info@cart-gallery.com (oppure compilare il form che trovate alla fine di questa pagina) per verificare la disponbilità del soggetto scelto.

Federico’s proposal, created together with the CArt Gallery, includes 2 versions of the Sketchbook that will be put on sale.

The total copies will be only 100 and will be numbered: 31 “de luxe” (which include an unpublished cover, one of the 31 original illustrations in the volume and a sketch made on a special card created for the event) and 69 “standard” with blank cover that will be sketched by the artist.

The price of the “de luxe” version is 150 euros and the one of the “standard” version is 30 euros. Shipping costs will be added to this amount if the material will not be collected in our gallery in Rome.

Qui di seguito trovate l’elenco dei personaggi in ordine alfabetico (e, quindi, non in ordine di realizzazione). Come già detto alcuni di essi sono in fase di “valutazione” e, quindi, sentitevi liberi di indicarci un eventuale personaggio che vorreste acquistare non presente nella lista: lo proporremo a Federico e, se l’idea sarà di suo gradimento, lo inseriremo al posto di uno degli altri non ancora definitivi.

I personaggi di colore bianco sono già prenotati, quelli celesti sono già stati realizzati ma sono ancora disponibili, i punti interrogativi gialli sono quelli “da scegliere” e quindi soggetti a modifiche apportate da Federico oppure richieste dagli appassionati.

Below you will find the list of the characters in alphabetical order (and, therefore, not in order of realization). As already mentioned, some of them are in the “evaluation” phase and, therefore, feel free to indicate any character you would like to buy not present in the list: we will propose it to Federico and, if the idea is to his liking, we will insert it at place of one of the others not yet final.

The white characters are already booked, the light blue ones have already been drawn but are still available, the yellow question marks are those “to choose” and therefore subject to changes made by Federico or requested by fans.
